Advertising tins bring their contribute to history of industrial age. Gramophone needles were of such a common use that tins were a good vehicle for advertising : a lot of businesses, not even specialised in music, would have tins made with their name and address for promotional aim. Some of these tins are quite sober while others are simply overloaded with text. Sometimes you will find tins with advertising for more than one subject : needles tins and cameras, or needles tins and bicycles, for instance !
The British firm Decca produced a lot of tins for music shops all around the World.
